On Monday a shooting incident is taken place at Wootton High School that left one injured. This was very unfortunate incident among many other gun shooting incidents in US. Moreover, the shooting events at schools and colleges are common across US becasue the gun culture in US is common.

The shooting incident is reported at Thomas S. Wootton High School in Rockville in the state of Maryland. Further, the incident is aired by media on February 09, 2026 afternoon.
According to the police i.e. Montgomery County Police the incident of gun shooting was reported at 2:15 PM according to the local time zone.
Victims of Wootton Incident
According to the hospital administration, one injured was brought to the nearby hospital. The injured was a student. Whereas, the injured student is in a good and stable condition.
Culprit of Wootton High School
Accortding to police and school administration, a student of the same school was taken into custody. He was involved in the shooting of a the student.
Wootton School Response
After the incident of Wootton shooting the civil administration immediately closed the school and policer officers secured the campus. Furthermore, the students were later on released from the school after the clearance operation by the enforcement agencies.
