Hajj policy of Pakistan 2026 means the rules and regulations made for the pilgrims who will go to perform the hajj in Saudi Arabia. Pakistan total Hajj quota for the year 2026 has been set as at 179,210 pilgrims by the federal government. This quota is as per the Hajj policy approved in January 2026.

Hajj Quota Distribution

The Hajj quota is distributed between the private sector as well as the government. Government Hajj scheme will arrange the 120,000 pilgrims whereas private Hajj operators will facilitate 60,000 pilgrims.

It means there is a ratio of 70-30 between government and private operators respectively.

Application process for Hajj 2026

Under the government scheme, application will be open on August 4, 2025 through the selected bank of government. Moreover, there is an online portal through which the intended pilgrims can apply for the hajj.

So the selection of the pilgrims will be done as first-come, first-served until the quota is fulfilled. On the other side, private scheme offers pilgrims the offering of Hajj. Under this private scheme, the last day to apply is October 22, 2025.

Eligibility requirement for the pilgrims

All the Pakistanis are eligible to apply for the Hajj 2026. Moreover, children born after March 1, 2014 are not eligible for applying the Hajj.

Previously, there were strict age restrictions on the pilgrims. It means that minor children could not perform the Hajj, but the Hajj policy 2026 has removed the age restrictions.

Moreover, the interesting thing in this Hajj policy 2026 is that female pilgrims may perform the Hajj without a Mehram.

Furthermore, overseas Pakistanis can also apply for the Hajj through nominated banks, but they have to submit the medical fitness certificate in Pakistan.

Cost of Hajj 2026

Under the government scheme, the total expected range of expenses is ranges from 1.15 million to 1.25 million depending on the package of the Hajj. In long-duration package, that is 38 to 42 days, the initial deposit is Rs. 5 lakh. On the other side, in shorter package, which is 20 to 25 days, the initial deposit amount is Rs. 5,50,000.

Digital and service enhancement Under the 2026 Hajj policy

It focuses on the digitalization and real-time monitoring. Hajj policy there is a system of supervision of all pilgrims’ applications, payments and services. The Pak Hajj mobile application is introduced, which will track payments, train and guide the pilgrims, and also receive the complaints.
