Hong Kong Fire Updates – The deadliest fire in the state of Hong Kong has left almost 45 people dead. On the other side, there are scores of others who are still missing. The missing people are due to the smoke and high flames in the building. (Related: Dunoon Fire Tragedy)

There is very thick smoke, and one can see the high flames around the building. Moreover, the incident of fire occurred in Wang Fuk Court residential estate on November 26, 2025. It is the famous Hong Kong Tai Po district. Further, the fire is considered the deadliest fire in the history of Hong Kong after World War II (Related: Current News World)
Police Action and Men Arrested
According to the Hong Kong Police, they have arrested almost 3 suspected individuals from the site for the allegation of manslaughter.
Moreover, according to Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu, there are almost 1050 people who have been relocated. They are relocated to safer places due to the intensity of the fire.
How did Fire Start?
According to the witness, the fire was started afternoon on Wednesday (26.11.2025) in the Eight-Building Complex. There are almost 2000 apartments in the building complex.
According to one of the old men in the building, there are many old people who are living in the building. And they cannot even move due to their age. In addition, authorities are investigating the cause of the fire as well as the sudden spreading of the fire beyond usual.
Summary of the Hong Kong Fire
The Hong Kong Fire that took place on Wednesday afternoon killed almost 45 people. Dozens of other people are in critical condition, and the majority of them are elderly people above 60 years who were not able to move during the fire. Along with human beings, there are dozens of cats and dogs and other pets who have also lost their lives due to this tragic fire in the history of Hong Kong.

Class C fire is one of the kinds of dangerous fires. It involves flammable gases such as propane, butane, LPG and methane. For such type of class C or heavy fire, there is need of gas leak detectors, fire alarm systems, and moreover, there is also need of dry powder fire extinguishers. And lastly, there is also need of automatic gas shutoff valves.
Class D fire
Class D fire includes combustible metals such as sodium, magnesium, potassium and aluminum. For such type of class D fire, there is need of safety fire safety tools includes sand buckets, special dry powder extinguishers, and metal fire suppression units.
