The World Urban Forum is the very big and internationally organized international conference on sustainable urban development in the world. This conference is managed by UN Habitat. It is a UN-based agency that focuses on cities and its development as well as human settlement.
What is World Urban Forum?
It is a global platform that is organized or formed for discussing the modern forms of cities and how it should be grown. It will bring together urban planners, NGOs, businesses, governments, and researchers from all over the world.
The main focus of this World Urban Forum is on affordable housing, removing the urban inequality, more will talk about climate change resilience, as well as smart cities and infrastructure. The conference of World Urban Forum will be conducted after every two years in different both cities. And each meeting or edition of this forum will have a theme, inclusive cities, greener and urban future.
The World Urban Forum meeting 2020 was held in Abu Dhabi. Similarly, the World Urban Forum meeting 2022 was held in Katowice, and the conference at year 2024 was held in Cairo.
